A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TO APPLY FOR A GRANT
FROM THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
WHEREAS , urban areas across the nation are experiencing a
dramatic increase in population and the increase in crime of
narcotic violations .
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
this nationwide trend; and
�w.v WHEREAS, the Texas Criminal Justice Division will provide
funding for Narcotic Officers .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Department is
authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal Justice
Division for a Narcotic Officer Project.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands that if
approved, the Criminal Justice Division will provide 100'/o funding
for the project for a period of one year.

TEXAS , on this the 4th day of March , 1980.
