A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE
TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR
� THE PURPOSE OF REVIEWING AND MODIFYING THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE' S PERSONNEL SYSTEM.

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine personnel system
has not undergone a comprehensive review for an ex-
tended period of time, and;
WHEREAS, an equitable and modern personnel
system is vital to high employee moral, and;
WHEREAS, funds for a comprehensive review and
modification are available under the Intergovernmental
Personnel Act, and;
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Community Affairs
has IPA funds available for use by cities in the State
of Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TExAS THAT,
„�, Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to
make application to the Texas Department of Community
� Affairs for a grant of Intergovernmental Personnel Act
funds.
Section 2 . Such funds, upon receipt, shall be
used for the review and improvement of the City of
Grapevine' s personnel system.
Section 3 . Said grant shall provide for $14, 250
of IPA funds to be supplemented with a like amount of
local in-kind services .
