A RESOLUTION AUT��ORIZING THE CITY TO
ENTER INTO A PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
�VITH ROY STEVVART HOI��TES, INC., TO PROVIDE
PROFESSIONAL SEP�VICES AS A "CONTRACT
MANAGER" IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RE-
� MODELING OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE CIVIC
! CENTER LOCATED AT 317 MAIN STREET, ALL
� AS SET OUT IN THE BODY OF THE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine Civic Center, located at 317 Main Street
is in dire need of repairs, and
WHEREAS, high costs, including interest costs, lack of availability of labor
and capital have caused the City not to be in a position to make the necessary
repairs to the Civic Center when needed, and
WHEREAS, the Civic Center is a necessary and needed facility for the
operation of City government and for our citizens, and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that it is necessary to act
at once to appropriate money to preserve the property of the City and to
protect the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community
�'� and citizens, and
�,., , WHEREAS, the City does agree to enter into a professional personal
service contract with Roy Stewart Homes, Inc., to provide the necessary
expertise to accomplish the renovation of the Civic Center at 317 Main Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GBAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City does hereby agree to enter into a personal
services contract with Roy Stewart Homes, Inc., 1340 South Main Street, for the
remodeling of the City of Grapevine Civic Center Building located at 317 Main
Street, Grapevine, Texas.
Section 2. The form of the personal services contract shall be approved
by the City Attorney and executed by the City l�'Ianager. The contract shall
comply with all statutory reguirements relative to public contracts.
Section 3. Plans and specifications for the remodeling as outlined by the
City Manager are hereby approved.
�' Section 4. The sum of $ 20, 000 is hereby appropriated to fund
; the personal services contract and the remodeling of the Civic Center.

That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage on this
the 3rd day of June, 1980.
