WHEREAS, the City Administrator was authorized and
directed and did in fact advertise for bids for a trailer
mounted chipper to be used by the Sanitation Department
in accordance with specifications prepared by the Sanita-
tion Department; and
�'" WHEREAS, five (5) bids were received and reviewed,

� Asplundh, Texas Plant $6,508.90
M-B Company, Wisconsin $6,604.00
Trees, Inc. , Houston, Texas $6,729.00
Chipmore Mfg. Co. , Michigan $6,225.00
Asplundh, Penn. Plant $7,417.00
and
WHEREAS, the bids have been analyzed by the City
Administrator and closely analyzed by the Sanitation
Department; and
WHEREAS, even though the bid from Chipmore Mfg. Company
was lower in price by $283.90, the detailed analysis of all
aspects of the bid has caused the City Staff to recommend
the bid be awarded to Asplundh (Texas plant) because of the
availability of parts and service and familiarity of machine.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
� Section 1. That based on the above premises and the
detailed recommendations of the City Administrator, the
'� Council finds that Asplundh (Texas plant) submitted the
best responsible bid and is hereby awarded the contract
for one (1) trailer mounted chipper in the amount of $6,508.90.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from
and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Grapevine City Council on this the
28th day of Rebruary , 1978.
