WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that a
public necessity and need exists to obtain an easement
for city utility purposes for the construction, installa-
tion and operation of water and sanitary sewer lines on,
over and across property located in the City of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas owned by J. H. Randolph; and,
WHEREAS , the City Council does hereby authorize the
�, City Manager to negotiate with owners of said property to
acquire an easement; and,
4�-iEREAS , the City Council does hereby authorize and
direct the City Attorney to institute condemnation proceed-
ings to acquire the easement in the event the City Manager
is unable to acquire the easement through negotiations .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL�TED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council does hereby find that
a public necessity exists to acquire an easement for the
construction, installation and operation of water and sani-
tary lines on, over and across property owned by J. H.
Randolph that is described in Exhibit "A" by metes and
bounds , which Exhibit is attached hereto and incorporated
herein for all purposes .
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and
directed to negotiate for the purchase of the aforedescribed
easement and to make an officiai offer of purchase.

Section 3. If the City Manager is unable to acquire
'�, the easement by negotiation and the official offer is re-
fused, the City Attorney is directed to institute condemna-
tion proceedings to acquire the easement by eminent domain.
That this Resolution shall take effect from and after
its passage.
