HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1978-018 RESOLUTION NO. 78-18 WHEREAS, the City Administrator was authori2ed and directed and did in fact advertise for bids for three (3) scooters to be used by golf personnel in accordance with specifications pre- pared by the Golf Course Department; and WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received and reviewed, from �„ Two One�with Re ular P.T.O. Total Bid l . Cushman (Watson's) 2840. Ea. $5680. for two 3652. $9332.00 � 2. Jacobsen (Colonial) 3180. Ea. 6360. for two 3670. $10,030.00 3. Toro (Goldwaites) 2785. Ea. 5570. for two No P.T.O. Available WHEREAS, the bids have b2en analyzed by the City Administrator and closely analyzed by the Golf Course Department; and WHEREAS, even though the bid from Toro was lower in price by $110.00 (in relation to the 2 scooters without power take off) , the detailed analysis of all aspects of the bid has caused the City Staff to recommend the bid be awarded to Watson's Distribution Co. because of the ability to add power take off equipment to the Cushman machines at a later date. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLi1ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GR,APEVINE, TEXAS: �"'" Section 1. That based on the above premises and the detailed recommendations of the City Administrator, the Council � finds that Watson's Distributing Company submitted the best responsible bid and is hereby awarded the contract for three (3) Cushman Scooters in the amount of $9,332.00. Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED by the Grapevine City Council on this the 6th day of June , 1978.
