A RESOLUTION AUTHORI7ING THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO APPLY
FOR A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION.
Whereas, urban areas across the Nation are experiencing a
dramatic increase of incidence in maintenance of Jail safety
for prisoners .

Whereas, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
thss Nation Wide trend; and
Whereas, the Texas Criminal Justice Division will provide
funding for approved Closed Circuit Television as a means
of monitoring Jails.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Grapevine, Texas :
SECTION 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal
Justice Division for a closed circuit television monitoring
system.
SECTION 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands that
the Criminal �Justice Division will provide 75% funding for
the project; if approved .
