A RESOLUTION AUT�ORIZING THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO
APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE

+� Whereas, urban areas across the Nation are experiencing
a dramatic increase in a population and the construction
of new homes, businesses and industries .
Whereas, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also experiencing
this Nation Wide trend ; and
Whereas , the Texas Criminal :Tustice Division will provide
funding for Crime Prevention Specialist.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Grapevine, Texas :
SECTION 1. That the City of Grapevine Police Depart-
ment is authorized to request funding from the Texas
Criminal Justice Division for a Crime Prevention Specia-
list Project. �
SECTION 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands
�°� that if approved, the Criminal Jus�ice Division will pro-
vide 100% funding for the project for a period of one year.
