A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY STAFF TO ADVERTISE AND AWARD BIDS FOR
THREE PICKUPS FOR THE UTILITY & PARKS DEPART-
MENT.

WHEREAS , the City Administrator was authorized and
directed and did in fact advertise for bids for th�ee (3)
� pickups to be used by the Utility and Parks Department, in
accordance with specifications prepared by said Departments ,
and
WHEREAS , three (3) bids were received and reviewed
from Payton-Wright Ford, Hudiburg Chevrolet, and Huffines
Motor Company, and
WHEREAS , the bids have been analyzed by the City
Administrator and closely analyzed by each Department , and
WHEREAS , even though the bid from Huffines Motor
Company was lower in price by $324. 58 , the detailed analysis
of all aspects of the bid has caused the City Staff to rec-
ommend the bid be awarded to Payton-Wright Ford Sales , Inc .
because of the convenience of services and maintenance and
the availability of parts .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
.� Section l. That based on the above premises and the
detailed recommendations of the City Administrator, the Council
� finds that Payton-Wright Ford Sales , Inc. submitted the lowest
responsible bid and is hereby awarded the contract for three
(3) pickups in the amount of $15 , 853 . 51.
Section 2 . That this resolution shall take effect
from and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Grapevine City Council on
this the 19th day of December, 1978 .
