A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM
THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
�"` WHEREAS , urban areas across the Nation are
experiencing a dramatic increase in a population and
the construction of new homes , businesses and industries .
�
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine, Texas is also
experiencing this Nationwide trend; and
WHEREAS , the Texas Criminal Justice Division
will provide funding for Crime Prevention Specialist.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE I'T RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. That the City of Grapevine Police
Department is authorized to request funding froTn t�.l�e
Texas Criminal Justice Division for a Crime Prevention
Specialist Project.
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine under-
stands that if approved, the Criminal Justice Division
will provide 80a/o funding for the projects for a period
of one year.
