A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM
THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION

WHEREAS , urban areas across the Nation are
�` experiencing a dramatic increase in Juvenile related crime;
and
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine, Texas is also
experiencing this Nationwide trend; and
WHEREAS , the Texas Criminal Justice Division will
provide funding for approved Juvenile Crime Specialist Pro-
j ect ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. That the City of Grapevine Police
Department is authorized to request funding from the Texas
Criminal Justice Division for a Juvenile Crime Specialist
Project.
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands
that the Criminal Justice Division will provide 60% funding
for the project ; if approved.
