A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS , APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER
TO A CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND AUTHO-
RIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SUCH
CHANGE ORDER
WHEREAS , the City has heretofore entered into a certain
construction contract dated January 16 , 1979 between the City of
Grapevine and Jay-Mar Corporation, Inc. , in the amount of $74, 865 . 73 ,

WHEREAS , City Council has found and determined and by
these presents does hereby find and determine that a certain Change
Order No. 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A"
should be approved with reference to the aforementioned construc-
tion contract , and such approval should be evidenced on behalf of
the City by the Mayor;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. That Changer Order No. 1 attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" resulting in a net increase in the construction con-
tract of $18 , 714. 70 is hereby approved with reference to that cer-
tain construction contract referred to in the preamble hereof.
Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized and di-
rected to evidence the City' s approval of Change Order No. l , by
execution thereof on behalf of the City,

Section 3 . That the public importance of this measure
and the fact that it is to the best interest of the City that
''�� such Change Order be executed as herein contemplated constitutes
an emergency and creates a necessity for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of
the City, which requires that this resolution be passed and take
effect as an emergency measure , and it is accordingly resolved
that this resolution be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Grapevine City Council on
this the 6th day of March, 1979 .
