A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE CITY OFFICER' S ELECTION
WHEREAS , there came to be considered the returns of
an election held on the 7th day of April , 1979 , for the pur-
pose of electing the hereinafter named officials , and it ap-
pearing from said returns , duly and legally made that there
were cast at said election 645 valid and legal votes ; that
each of the candidates in said election received the following
votes :

NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
That said election was duly called; that notice of said election
was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held
in accordance with law, and that the following named persons were
duly elected to the office indicated:
William D. (Bill) Tate. . . . . . . . . . . .Mayor
Charles Dunn. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Council, Place One
C. L. (Larry) Oliver. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Council , Place Two
That the said above persons are hereby declared duly elected to
said respective office, subject to the taking of their oath and
filing bond as provided by the laws of this State and the ordi-
nances of this City, and that in Council , Place Six, no candidate
received a majority of the total votes cast . A run-off election
between the two candidates receiving the most votes shall be held
between fourteen to twenty-eight days from the date of the regular
election. Date of said election shall be April 21 , 1979 , and the
place of voting shall be Cannon Elementary School , 1300 West
�' College, Grapevine, Texas .
PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 9th day of April , 1979 .
