Home My WebLink AboutRES 1979-015 RESOLUTION N0. 7g-15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS , APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO A CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND AUTHO- RIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SUCH CHANGE ORDER. � WHEREAS , the City has heretofore entered into a certain construction contract dated May 15 , 1979 , between the City of Grapevine and Ed Bell Construction Company, Inc. , at the prices shown in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and made a "�'" part hereof. WHEREAS , City Council has found and determined and by these presents does hereby find and determine that a certain _ Change Order No. 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "B" should be approved with reference to the aforemen- tioned construction contract, and such approval should be evi- denced on behalf of the City by the Mayor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS : Section l. That Change Order No. 1 attached hereto as Exhibit "B" resulting in an increase in the construction con- tract at the prices shown in Exhibit "B" , is hereby approved with reference to that certain construction contract referred to in the preamble hereof. Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized and di- rected to evidence the City' s approval of Change Order No . l , by �� execution thereof on behalf of the City. Section 3 . That the public importance of this measure �"' and the fact that it is to the best interest of the City that such Change Order be executed as herein contemplated constitutes an emergency and creates a necessity for the immediate preserva- tion of the public peace , health, and safety of the citizens of the City, which requires that this resolution be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and it is accordingly resolved that this resolution be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
