A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS , AUTHORIZING
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT
FROM THE TEXAS CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
PROVIDING 75Q/o FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE
OF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT .
WHEREAS , urban areas across the nation are
�'"' experiencing increases in Police and equipment shortage
to include Radio communication, and
WHEREAS , the City of Grapevine, Texas , is also
experiencing this nationwide trend, and
WHEREAS , the Texas Criminal Justice Division will
provide funding for approved Radio Communication Equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. That the City of Grapevine Police Depart-
ment is authorized to request funding from the Texas Criminal
Justice Division for additional Radio equipment .
Section 2 . That the City of Grapevine understands
that the Criminal Justice Division will provide 75Q/o funding
for the project , if approved.
