A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS , AWARDING THE
BID FOR THE COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT
MAINTENANCE CONTRACT; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE .
WHEREAS the City Staff did in fact advertise for
`�' bids for the communications equipment maintenance contract ;
an d,
WHEREAS , two bids were received and reviewed; one
from Circle Communications Company; and one from Sound Unlimited,
Inc. ; and,
WHEREAS , the bids have been closely analyzed by the
Office of the City Manager ; and,
WHEREAS , eventhough the bid from Circle Communications
Company, was lower in cost by One-Dollar ($1. 00) , the excess
amount of interest shown by Sound Unlimited, Inc . , and their
thorough examination of the City' s communication equipment ,
has caused the City Staff to recommend the bid be awarded to
Sound Unlimited, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. That based on the above premises , and
the recommendations of the City Staff, the Council finds that
Sound Unlimited, Inc. , submitted the most reasonable and re-
''�°" sponsible bid and is hereby awarded the maintenance contract
on the City' s communications equipment in the amount of $788 . 00
monthly.
Section 2 . That the City Manager and City Secretary
are authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City to
date, sign, seal and otherwise execute a communications equip-
ment maintenance contract with Sound Unlimited, Inc.
Section 3 . That this resolution is effective im-
mediately upon its passage .
PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 3r� day of July ,
1979 .
