A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE TO JOIN WITH THE MAYOR' S
COUNCIL OF TARRANT COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ENCOURAGING CONTINUATION OF THE REVENUE
�.� SHARING PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States adopted
the concept of the general Revenue Sharing Program whereby
local governments received Federal Funds for local use with
minar restrictions, and
WHEREAS, Revenue Sharing has been of great use and benefit
to the City of Grapevine in the conduct of their regular fiscal
business, and
WHEREAS, an attempt is being made by certain factions
in Congress to discontinue the Revenue Sharing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor' s Council
of Tarrant County and the Grapevine City Council, acting
together and in concert, do hereby support and endorse the
Revenue Sharing Program and proclaim it to be a valuable
and fiscally responsible program and do hereby oppose any
attempt by factions in Congress to eliminate Revenue
Sharing.
