A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITY
OFFICIALS AS BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTING FOR

AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
IN DEALING WITH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AD-
MINISTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARTICIPATING
� IN THE LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM, CERTIFYING
THAT THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS IS ELIGIBLE
TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE UNDER SUCH PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is fully eligible
to receive assistance under this Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine
is desirous of authorizing its administrative staff to
represent and act for the City in dealing with the Economic
Development Administration concerning this program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gr apevine
is working with the Board of Trustees of the Grapevine
Independent School District to jointly develope parks
and school play areas ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
,M .� THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

SECTION l: That the City Council hereby authorizes
and directs its Mayor to represent and act for the City
of Grapevine in dealing with the Economic Development
Administration for the purpose of this program. The Mayor
is hereby designated as the City' s representative in this
regard.
SECTION 2 : The City Council hereby designates its
City Manager as the official authorized to serve as the
City ' s fiscal officer to receive Federal funds for purposes
of this program.
SECTION 3 : The City Council hereby specifically
autharizes the City Officials herein designated to make
application to the Economic Development Administration
concerning the development of a joint community park/school
playground in the City of Grapevine for use as a community
park site. That the proposed park is hereby dedicated for
public outdoor recreation purposes.
