RESOLUTION
77-18
WHEREAS, Texas Power and Light Company is the holder of a franchise from
the City of Grapevine to furnish electrical services to the citizens and businesses

situated in the City of Grapevine, Texas; and

WHEREAS, a number of citizens in the city are k�ing served by a power company
that is not the holder of a franchise from the City of Grapevine, Texas; and
WHEREAS, a number of the citizens being served by the other power company
other than Texas Power and Light Company, have been before the City Council
expressing a desire to obtain electrical service from Texas Power and Light Company
due to the disparity in rates and other matters; and
WHEREAS . the city is of the opinion that the requests by citizens of Grapevine
to Texas Power and Light Company should be honored.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas.
Section 1 . That Texas Power and Light Company , pursuant to its franchise
with the City of Grapevine is directed to accept applications for electrical
� service from citizens and businesses situated in Grapevine.
� Section 2. That a copy of this resolution stated be delivered to the District
Manager of Texas Power and Light Company.
