A Resolution of the City of Grapevine, Tarrant County,
Texas authorizing the City Manager to continue a Traffic
Safety Program on a part time basis.

WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine received a grant as
administered through the Institute of Urban Studies ; and
�
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Program has proven to be
beneficial in improving traffic conditions and promoting
safety; and
WHEREAS, such a program will enable the City of Grapevine
to be eligible for state and federal grants directed toward
safety advancement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine does not have the financial
capabilities to fund a full time program; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department recognizing the need for
such a program, has agreed to provide manpower, instruction and
expertise in order to maintain a part time traffic safety program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF GRAPEVINE, 'I'EXAS 'I'HAT:
Section l. The City Manager be and is hereby authorized
� to execute the necessary procedures in continuing a traffic
safety program within the Grapevine Police Department on a
part time basis .
Section 2. The Grapevine Police Department is hereby in-
structed to cooperate with the Institute of Urban Studies in
promoting safety.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Grapevine,
Texas on this the 18 day of October , 1977.
