ORDINANCE NO. 79-72
AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE ASSESSMENT OF
PROPERTY FOR AD VALOREIVI TAX PURPOSES
BEGINNING JANUARY l, 1980 ON THE BASIS OF

AN EMERGENCY
� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,

Section 1. For Ad Valorem tax purposes, all property shall be assessed on
the basis of 100 percent of its appraised value commencing with the tax year
that begins January 1, 1980.
Section 2. Emergency. The fact that the present ordinanees and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly safe-
guard the health, safety, morals, peace and general welfare of the inhabitants
of the City of Grapevine, Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate
preservation of public business, property, health, safety and general welfare of
the public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective from and
after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
