The City Council and Planning 6 Zoning Commission of the City
o� Grapevine, Texas, convened in special joint meeting at 7:42
p . m. , on this the 9th day of October, 1973, with the following
members present, to-wit:

constituting a quorum, and

Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.
The Invocation was given by Joe Kennedy.
` Mayor Tate opened tl-ie public hearing on zoning application
`� [Z-73-28) , the City of Grapevine requesting block zoning on
_ a tract of land bounded by State Highway 157, Glade Road,
Airport property, and Hughes Road, to "C-2" Community Business
District, "I-1 " Light Industrial District, and "I-2" Heavy
Industrial District.
The Assistant City Manager brief ed the Commission and Council
on the zoning application.
Bill Rogers asked Mayor Tate to explain the purpose of block
zoning the area.
Mayor Tate stated that several zoning applications had been
received in this area, therefore, it was f elt the city could
better plan the area by block zoning it.
With no f urther discussion on zoning application [Z-73-28] ,
Mayor Tate closed the public hearing.

, meeting at 8 :05 p . m.

Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.
Joe Paul Jones, planning consultant of Freese 6 Nicl-iols Engineers,
Inc. , brief ed the Council on plans to revise the city's master plan.
He stated that an advisory board would need to be appointed by the
Counc i,l.
Councilman Dalton moved to contract with the firm of Pittman E Harris
to conduct the annual financial audit and additionel services as
deemed necessary by the City Manager. Councilwoman Conine seconded
the motion. The motiot� prevailed by the following vote; '�:
Ayes : Tate, Dalton, Eidson, Parker, Conine, Pittard, Dilg �
Noes : None
�here being no �urther business , Mayor Tate adjourned ti-�e meeting.
