on a tract o� land in the J. N. Gibson Survey, from
r'C-1 " Neighborhood BUSiness District to �TSP" Speci�ic
Use Permit District - commercial and business uses/
alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption.

The City Council and Planning � Zoning Commission o� the
City of Grapevine, Texas , convened in joint meeting at
8 : 04 p. m. , on this the 27th day of November, 1973, with
the following members present, to-wit:

Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.

Mayor Tate opened the public f-iearing on zoning application
[Z-73-32] , Rod 6 Reel Joint Venture requesting a zoning
change on a tract o� land in the A .F . Leonard Survey, Abs-
tract No. 946, �rom "R-1 " Single-Family District to "C-2"
Community Business District.
Ann Carlson spoke on bel-ialf of the zoning application.
She stated the property is presently being used for non-
conforming uses by Rod � Reel Boat Sales and a mobile home
park. She stated the [33 space] mobile home park would
only be temporary, tf-�erefore, the zoning request was for
"C-2" Community Business District.
The City Attorney stated under the "C-2" zoning, the mobile
home park would remain a non-conforming use.
The Assistant City Manager brief ed the Council on the pro-
perty's location. He stated property in the area of the
zoning application is zoned "R-1 " Single-Family District.
The City Manager stated he could ask the City Planner to
review this zoning application to determine if tl-ie "C-2"
zoning would be compatilbe with the future land use of the
area.
With no �urther discussion on zoning application [Z-73-32) ,
Mayor Tate closed the public hearing.

�ave Michener spoke on behalf of the zoning applicatioh.
He �equested the City Council and Planning � Zoning Com-
mission to continue the public hearing at the January 22,
1974, meeting, so that he may obtain an architect's drawing �
o� the proposed remodeling to his business. ''

Don Stiles moved to continUe the public hearing of zoning ',
application [Z-73-33) at the January 22, 1974, meeting. ,
Corbett Emery seconded the motion. The motion prevailed '
by the following vote:
Ayes : Ware, Joyce, Kennedy, Stiles, Jordan, Emery
Noes : None
City Council :
Councilman Dilg moved to continue the public hearing of '
zoning application [Z-73-33) at the January 22, 1974, '
meeting. Councilman Eidson seconded the motion. The
motion prevailed by the following vote: I
Ayes : Tate, Dalton, Eidson , Parker, Conine, Pittard, Dilg �
Noes : None
There being no f urtf-�er business , Mayor Tate adjourned the i
meeting at 8 :44 p .m. �
