SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ADOPT-AN-AREA AGREEMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks& Recreation Advisory Board and staff recommend the Council approve Adopt-
An-Area agreements with the following groups. Copies of the agreements are attached for
review.
• Henry Schein, Inc. for Ira E. Woods Avenue, from Kimball Road to Mustang Drive
• Francis Family for Ira E. Woods Avenue, from SH 114 to Kimball Road
• The Goldberg Family for Meadowmere Park, from the swim beach to the south boat
ramp
• Matthew Goldberg and Friends for hay rook, from Dove Loop West to Lucas
Drive
FUNDING SOURCE:
Adopt-An-Area signage would be placed at of ends of these areas. The total cost of the
signage for this is approximately $200 and will come from the Grounds Maintenance
Account 100-42205-312-3.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The proposed agreement is for a period of two years and requires the applicant to pick up
litter a minimum of six times per year. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board approved
e a r greement at their April 18, 2013 meeting. The Board and staff recommend approval
of the agreements.
