Application Z 70-5 was considered. H. L. Higgins requested "J & K" Industrial � Zoning on his Lot 2AlA (4 acres) in the E. Moore Survey. ! Persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. Mr. � Higgins was present in behalf of his application. No one was ' present in opposition. i � Application Z 70-6 was considered. Ann Carlson requested "C&Dr' Multiple Dwelling on 35 feet of Lot 6 and all of Lot 5, Block � 33, Grapevine Survey. Persons present were given an opportunity � to be heard. No one was present in regards to the app�.ication. I � i Application Z 70-7 was considered. James Redman requested "E" ; Modified for Mobile Home Park on his acreage in the Splane and McDonald Surveys . Russ Reed and George Hunt were present in ! behalf of the application and showed a print of the proposed Mobile Home Park. Mr. Joe Box, adjoining property owner was i present and spoke in opposition to the requested zone change. Public Hearing was declared closed and persons present were informed that the Planning & Zoning Commission will study the applications and will make their recommendations to the City Council. The City Council continued to meet for the regular meeting of March 3, 1970 with the following members present: Willis Pirkle Mayor Doil Dalton ) Tommy Eidson ) 1�1 Harwell ) Councilmen Lee Thompson ) G. Benedict ) � 237 E � � � � The minutes of the previous meeting of February 17, 1970 were � read and approved. �. � Mr. Joe Box was present and discussed with the Council the � possibility of the City exploring every avenue. in making sure � Grapevine and Grapevine citizens benefit f rom the development � of the Airport and also suggested court action if necessary � to accomplish this benefit. � Councilmen Eidson made a MOTION to delegate the authority �o � the City Manager to work out a suitable arrangement with the � City and Mr. Stone, on the dedication of streets and approval � of the final plat of Stone Industrial Park. Motion SECONDED �! by Councilman Harwell . Motion PREVAILED by the following � vote: � � Ayes : Councilmen Benedict, Thompson, Harwell, Dalton & Eidson. � Noes: None Rezone Application Z 70-1 was considered. Bob Rockenbaugh � had requested "G" Local Business on his Lot 10, Starnes � Piddition. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to approve the request. Councilman Eidson made a MOTION to approve the request and to pass Ordinance 70-5 authorizing �` the change. Noes: None � ORDINANCE 70-5 � _ � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE � AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE� TEXAS� SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZANING DISTRICTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF ROBERT H. ROCKENBAUGH � FROM "B" RESIDENTIAL TO "G" LOCAL BUSINESS; � AND PROVIDING FOR A SAViNGS CLAUSE. E � Rezone Application Z 70-2 was considered. K. W. Pickering had requested "P D" Planned Development District on his acreage in the Wood & Whitman Surveys. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to approve the application. Councilman Harwell made a MOTION to approve the application and to pass Ordinance 70-6 authorizing the change. Motion SECONDED by CQUncilman Eidson. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to approve the application. Councilman Eidson made a MOTION to approve the application and to pass Ordinance 70-7 authorizing the change. Motion SECONDED by Councilman Dalton. Councilman Dalton made a MOTION to approve the application and to pass 6 Ordinance 70-8 authorizing the - permit� Motion SECONDED by � Councilman Harwell. Motion PREVAILED by the following vote: ,, { Ayes: Councilmen Benedict, Harwell , Dalton, Eidson & Thompson. � Noes: None � ; ORDINANCE 70-8 � AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONDITIONAL � USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A MINIA- � TURE AUTOMOBILE RIDE CONCESSION. � s j The petition of M. L. Smith , E. J. Strawn, Annie O. Rogers, ; Gro�aer Hall, Lawrence W. Smith and J. J. Hall to the City , � to annex their property was considered. Councilman Thompson � made a MOTION to approve the petition and to pass Ordinance 70-9 annexing the said property. Motion SECONDED by Councilman i Dalton. Motion PREVAILED by the following vote: � [ iAyes: Councilmen Eidson, Thompson, Dalton, Harwell & Benedict. � Noes: None i ' � ' ORDINANCE 70-9 � i ; AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY i ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THE AREA DESCRIBED BEIAL�I, SHALL BECOME A PART OF THE SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND. THE INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS . Councilman Eidson made a MOTION to authorize Mayor Pirkle, � Councilman Dalton and City Manager Floy Eze11 the expenditure � up to $21,000. for the purchase of a new or used crawler type � tractor for use in the Sanitation Department . Noes : None The proposed Ordinance numbered 70-11 amending tne City Code � pertaining to the parking of Mobile Homes within the City was introduced and read.
