Woods � Harlen Joyce was absent. � �' Mayor Pir�tle called the meeting to order and Councilman Dalton � gave the invocation. The ur ose of the 'oint meetin a f r a ' � p p � g w s o public he ring on Zone Change Applications Z 70-16 and Z 70-17. Application Z 70-16 was considered. Mrs. Jerome Cole, Tom Stephens , Glen Sessom and T. B. Stewart requested "C-2 Business District Zoning on their property in the T. Mahan � Survey. Persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. No one was present in opposition to the zone change. Application Z 70-17 was considered. Willard Jordan requested "C-2 Business District" on his Lots 46 and 47, Leonard Survey. Persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. No one was present in opposition to the zone change�. � Public Hearing was declared closed and persons present were �' informed that the Planning and Zoning Commission will make �: their recommendation to the City Council. � The City Council continued to meet for the regular council � meeting of this date with the following members present: � Willis Pirkle Mayor � - � Doil Dalton ) k � Lee Thompson ) � Tommy Eidson ) Councilmen �; Phil Parker ) Councilman Harwell was absent. � f . � . � , ��..� �' The minutes of the previous meeting of May 19th were read and �' approved. �' The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to approve Rezone . Application Z 70-15. Councilman Eidson made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and to pass Ordinance 70-22 enacting the change. Motion secon ded by Councilman Dalton. Motion prevailed by the following vote: � � �. �' �' � � � ! 2 � U � � Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Thompson, Eidson and Parker. � ' Noes: None ORDINANCE 70-22 i AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ?ANING ORDINANCE AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGEW�THE ZONING DISTRICTS � OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE SARAH HURST ES- TATE TO R-3 MULTIPLE FAMILY-DWELLING DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to decline � Rezone Application Z 70-14. Councilman Dalton made a motion i to delay council action on the request to the next regular � meeting to give opportunity for further study. Motion seconded d by Councilman Thompson. Motion prevailed by the following vote: � � Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Eidson, Dalton and Thompson. ' Noes: None f � i , � The plat of the J. F. Harris Subdivision was reviewed. The i Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to approve the plat. � Councilman Dalton made a motion to approve the said plat. � Motion seconded by Councilman Thompson. Motion prevailed by i the following vote: � i � Ayes: Councilmen Thompson, Parker, Dalton and Eidson. f Noes: None , Mr. Joe Owens, the City' s tax appraiser, was present and dis- � cussed assessment values with the Council. f � Rezone Application Z 70-16 was considered. The Planning and i Zoning Commission recommended to approve the application. ' Councilman Eidson made a motion to approve the said application i j and to pass Ordinance 70-23 making the change. Motion seconded i by Councilman Thompson. Motion prevailed by the following vote: � IAyes : Councilmen Eidson, Dalton, Parker and Thompson. ,, Noes : None , 'i ORDINANCE 70-23 � � I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZANING ORDINANCE � AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF MRS. JEROME COLE, TOM STEPHENS, GLEN SESSOM AND T. B. STEWART TO THE C-2 COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT ZONING, AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. Rezone Application Z 70-17 was considered. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to approve the application. ORDINANCE 70-24 r � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE � AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZANING DISTRICTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF WILLARD AND IZOLA ` JORDAN TO C-2 CONIMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT � ZONING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. � The application of Wilburn Gaskill to park a mobile home on � his property at 220 N. Scribner wa�s considered. The Planning ' and Zoning Commission recommended to approve the application. � Councilman Eidson made a motion to approve the application. � Motion seconded by Councilman Dalton. Motion prevailed by �' the following vote: � q; r e Ayes: Councilmen Parker, Thompson, Eidson and Dalton. Noes: None The possibility of acquiring the old First National Bank for a City library was discussed. Councilman Eidson �ade a motion to authorize a study on the feasibility of using the old First National Ban k Building for a City Library. Motion seconded by Councilman Dalton. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Parker, Thompson and Eidson.
