Start 427 � STRT'E OF TEXAS � COUNTY OF TARRANT � i CITY OF GRAPEVINE � i I � On the 21st day of July, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council iand the Planning and Zoning Commission met in a joint meeting ' in the City Hall with the following members present : City Council Willis Pirkle Mayor Tommy Eidson ) A1 Harwell ) Lee Thompson ) Councilmen Doil Dalton ) � - I � Councilman Parker was absent. i I Planning and Zoning Commission Joe Kennedy • � Harien Joyce Ted Ware Jerry Jordan ' Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order and Councilman Thompson " gave the invocation. The purpose of the joint meeting was for public hearing on Zone �; i Change Applications Z 70-21 and Z 70-22. i i Application Z 70-21 was considered. Mel Hobratsch requested "C-2" Business District Zoning on his Lot 3AlA, Foster Survey. Persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. No one was present in opposition to the rezoning. i Application Z 70-22 was considered. Dr. C. D, Pittard requested � "C-2" Business District Zoning on a portion of his property, � tracts 9S2, 9S3 , 9A1, 3B, Foster Survey, Abstract 518, the portion not to be included is 200 ft. extending from W. Wall I Street. One person was present in opposition to the rezoning. I ' Brookhollow Estates preliminary plan for Phase III were re- � viewed. The City Council and Zoning and Planning Commission were of the opinion that another outlet street should be in- cluded in the lans . Consultin En ineers had the followin P 9 J 9 c mm nts • o e . 1. Boundary is shown but no acreage indicated. 2. Size of lots are not in keeping with minimums (7,200 square feet and minimum 120 ft. length) Article 10-19-4(J) 3 . Surveyor ' s certification should be signed by someone. John Vilbig's plat for the first phase development of a Mobile Home Park were reviewed. The City Council and Zoning and Plann- ing Commission were of the opinion another outlet street should be included in the plans. � _ _ _ _� 269 � � N � I' fI 1: City Consulting Engineers had the following comments : � F j l. This layout does comply with present Mobile Home Ordinance. 2. The following items need to be taken into consideration: �: a. Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass sa�d ordinance on � second reading. Motion seconded by Councilman Dalton. Motion �' � prevailed by the following vote: � � �. Ayes: Councilmen Harwell, Eidson, Dalton & Thompson. �: Noes: None � ORDINANCE 70-25 � , AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 8, � SECTION 18 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF � GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DEFINING HOLIDAYS; AND � PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. � Zoning Amendment Ordinance 70-26 was read on second reading. � Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass said ordinance on second reading. Motion seconded by Councilman Dalton. � Motion prevailed by the following vote: f , , E ORDINANCE 70-26 � ; � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZANING ORDINANCE � AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CIT� �JF GRAPEVINE, ¢ TEXAS, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR A SPECIFIC USE " PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SINGLE STORY � ' � FOUR-PLEX APAR�FNIENTS ON LOTS 2, 3, 13 AND 14, BIACK 10, SECTION "B" , BELLAIRE ADDI- TION, AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. Zoning Amendment Ordinance 70-27 was read on second reading. > Eidson made a motion to pass said ordinance on second reading. � Motion seconded by Councilman Thompson. Motion prevailed by � the following vote: _ S 5 Ayes: Councilmen Harwell, Eidson, Dalton, Thompson. �; Noes: None � � � � 2i � ORDINANCE 70-27 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE I' AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE� � TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS � I OF CERTAIN PROP.ERTY OF DR. C. D. PITTARD TO � "C-2" CONIMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT ZONING; � AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. ` Mr. R. C. Patterson submitted a copy of plans on a new build- `' � : ing to replace the present structure on the lot where trucking ( operation is conducted. Mr. Patterson was advised to submit i his building plans to the city building inspector. Mr. � Patterson was also advised if the plans were disapproved by � the City building inspector he had the right to appeal the disapproval to the City Board of Adjustments . The City Manager stated that the Regional Airport authorities had requested the city' s assistan ce in upgrading Minters Chapel Road.� The City Council asked the Ci�y Manager to inquire what type of equipment was to be operated on this road. The City Manager reported that Dallas and Fort Worth had agreed to furnish the city with water temporarily starting in 1973 until ` 1980. I Proposed Resolution R70-10, requesting Texas Power and Light Company to �ommence service to certain customers within the City of Grapevine, Texas presently served by Tri-County Electric Co-op. Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass said resolution R70-10. Motion seconded by Councilman Thompson. � Motion prevailed by the following vote: I Ayes.: Councilmen Thompson, Eidson, Dalton and Harwell. j Noes : None The City Manager presented a work copy of the new city budget for the Council 's comments and recommendation. � Meeting adjourned.
