Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Councilman Eidson �

t Minutes of the previous meeting of December 1, 1970 were �

Public Hearing was declared open for the consideration of '

the Annexation of a tract of land North of Wildwood Drive 3
;
e between North Dooley Street and County Road 3043, owned by �
� the Boyd Estate, the tract of land known as the Grapevine Y
� Cemetary, a tract of land in the W. P. Herring„ Wm. K. Payne, z
Geo. F. Martin and A. W. Anderson Surveys owned by Silverlake '
; Properties, and a tract of land in the Thomas Easter and �
� heirs of A. Foster Surveys, the Corbin and Adams property g
south of Texas Bitulitic Company Plant. There was no one �
present in the intere�� of the Annexations. The Public Hear- ?
ing was declared closed. Councilman Eidson made a motion �
to pass Ordinance 70-49 on its first reading. Councilman �
f Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the follow- ¢
ing vote: �

� AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY AD- `

� JACENT ANI� CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, �
'� TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THE AREA DESCRIBED BELAW,
SHALL BECOME A PART OF THE SAID CITY AND THAT THE

OWNERS AND THE INHABITANTS THERFAF SHALL BE EN-
� TITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF
SAID CITY AND BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW {

n IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED: FURTHER �
; PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL
� BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS

Councilman Eidson made a motion to approve the application
� of C. W. Tate for a house move-in permit for Lot 16, Block 1, '
` in Placid Peninsula. Councilman Parker seconded the motion.
' Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Eidson, Dalton, Parker , Harwell & Thompson. �''
Noes: None

Councilman Eidson made a motion to put the proposed garbage
rates into eff ect, with the exception of those businesses
whose output is more than o� normal pickup, and those to be
negotiated by the City. Councilman Harwell seconded the
motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Councilmen Harwell, Thompson, Dalton, Parker & Eidson.
Noes: None
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the
application of Dan Riggs to place a mobile home on property
on Highway 157 to be approved. Councilman Eidson made a
motion to accept the Planning and Zoning Commission' s re-
commendation. Councilman Harwell seconded the motion.
Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Harwell, Eidson, Dalton and Thompson.
Noes: None
Councilman Parker declin�d to vote. '
Councilman Eidson made a motion to accept the low bid from
Grimes Construction Co. on the work proposed for E. Texas
Street. Motion seconded by Councilman Dalton. Motion
prevailed by the f ollowing vote:
Ayes : Councilmen Thompson, Dalton, Eidson, Harwell & Parker .
Noes : None
All other bids for this job are on file in the City Hall.
- , Proposed Resolution R70-14, authorizing the closing of
Lipscomb-Koonce Road and Trigg Road, both in the Regional
Airport area, was introduced and read. Councilman Eidson
made a motion to pass said Resolution. Motion seconded
by Councilman Parker. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Councilmen Harwell , Thompson, Parker, Dalton & Eidson.
Noes : None
Said Resolution is on file in the City' s official Resolution
Book.
