HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-01-19 Joint Meeting �o� Reel 15, Side 2 Start 212 - End 609 STATE OF TEXAS ) ) COUNTY OF TARRANT ) ) CITY OF GRAPEVINE ) ^ On the 19th day of January 1971 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council . and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a joint meeting in the City Hall with the follow- ing members p resent : City Council ' Willis Pirkle Mayor - Phil Parker ) Al Harwell ) Tommy Eidson ) Councilmen Doil Dalton ) Lee Thompson ) Planning & Zoning Commission Joe Kennedy Jerry Jordan Jesse Woods Ted Ware Harlen Joyce Fenton Al1ey Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Councilman Thompson gave the invocation. The purpose of the joint meeting was for Public Hearing on Zone Change Application Z 71-1 on which William L. Elder, Harry Gaston and Leon Zetley requested "R-3�� Multiple Family Zoning on property described as Little John # 3 Addition, Grapevine, Texas. Mr. Elder was present and spoke in behalf of his interest in the zone change request. Public Hearing was declared closed and Mayor pirkle instructed the Planning and Zoning Commission to make their recommendation to the Council at the next scheduled meeting. ' Public Hearing was declared open for the purpose of giving persbns interested in the annexation of two tracts of land in the Grapevine Lake area a chance to be heard. Mr. Harlan Beam, Mr. Frank Rains and Mrs. Elizabeth Stickley spoke in objection to the annexation. Because of the objections and an error in the field notes, further action on the annexation was postponed. Bob Powers presented the 1970 audit report to the Council. - Councilman Eidson made a motion to accept the auditors report. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes ; Councilmen Parker, Harwell, Eidson, Dalton & Thompson. Naes: None ORDINANCE 71-2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHA.PTER 5, SECTIONS 2 AND 4 OF THE CITY C4DE C}F THE Cl2Y OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS SO AS TO PROVIDE �UIDE LINES FOR ISSUANCE 4F PERMIT FQR TRAILERS C}UTSZI}E LICENSED PARK; PROVIDING FOR PERMIT FEE; PRO- VIDING FOR SAVZNGS CLAUSE; AND PRC}VII7ING FOR AN EMERGENCY. � Praposed Resolution R71-1, calling for the elec�ion of Mayar = and Councilmen, Places 1 and 2, was introduced and read. Cauncilman Haacwell made a mo�ion to pass said resolu.tian. Cauncilman Parker seconded the matian. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes : Councilmen Parker, Harwell, Dalton, Thomps��n & Eidson.. Naes; None Said Resolution R71-1 is on file in the city' s official Resolution Baok. L� i � � 1 Councilman Eidson made a motion to have a resolution drafted, requesting the Highway Department to hurry up the plans to extend Highway 360. Councilman Parker seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes : Councilmen Harwell, Eidson, Parker, Thompson & Dalton. Noes : None ''� Mayor Pirkle appointed Al Harwell, Tommy Eidson and Floy Ezell as a committee to work with South Lake on establishing boundaries between Grapevine and South Lake. ; Meeting adjourned.
