Councilman Parker � gave the invocation. � The purpose of the joint meeting was for Public Hearing on Zone Change Application Z71-4 on which Joe L. Wright and others requested "R-3�� Multiple Family Dwelling. Persons present were given an opportunity to speak in interest of the zonin g change request. It was reported that Mr . Joe L. Wright was in the � hospital and could not be present for the hearing. Council- � � man Parker report�d that Mr. Wright had inf ormed him that there was no immediate plans for any change in the use of the � property for which the request was being made. Mr . Chaa�es � ,7ackson was present and sta��d 'to the members of the zoning � commission and council that he was concerned about the in- � crease in traffic on already crowded Lucas Drive which the � Multiple Family Dwelling would cause. Tip Johnson and Mrs. D, R. : Hranit2ky, alternate clerks. ,, � Councilman Eidson made a motian ta pay the eacpenses of the ' Highway Committee to Austin, not to exceed $150.00. Council- ' man T�ompsan seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by tlae ' following vote: Ayes: Cou.ncilmen Thompson, Harwell, Parker, Dalton and Eidson . Noes: None ' Councilman Harwell made a motion to annex a 20.638 acre tract of land situated i.n the heirs of A. Faster Survey. 5aid , tract being annexed by petition signed by Gary Kirkland, Trustee and said annexation being Ordinance '71-4. Councilman Eidson seconded the motion. Noes: None URDINANCE 7I-4 AN QRDINANCE RECEIVZNG AND A�NNEXING TERRITORY , ADJACENT AND GONTIt�UOUS TO THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THE AREA DESCRIBED BELQW, SHALL BECOME A PART OF THE SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE EN- TITLED TO ALL THEPRIVILEGES OF OTHER CTTIZENS OF SAID CITY AND BOUND BY THE AC2S AND QRDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED: FURTHER PR4VIDING F4R AMENDING AND CORRECTING fiHFAFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDEI?
