On the sixth day of April, 1971 at 7:30 P.M. , the City Council �
of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in the City Hall with the ,

Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Bill Vandeventer gave y"

� Minutes of the previous meeting of March 16, 1971 were read and a;

approvedo
f City�,�ttorney Bill Tate read Resolution R71-8, a resolution
of the City Council of the City of Grap evine, Texas , allowing �

Explorer pipeline Company to locate a pipeline under and across �
- certain streets in accordance with plans and specifications
;
filed with the City Secretary. �
; Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass said resolution. `
k Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the ;

G Aubrey Smith was present and requested permission to move a
house on his property west of Dove Road. Councilman Harwell �
made a motion to grant the permit to Mr. Smith provided the
house would be bricked. Councilman Eidson seconded the motion. �'

The Planning & Zoning Commission report on application Z 71-7 z'
on which Leroy Boaz, W. J. Whiddon and Fisher y. Wallace re-
quested "I-2�t Zoning was read. The Planning and Zoning Commi-
ssion recommended to hold this application in abeyance for
further discussion. Councilman Eidson made a motion to comply
with the Zoning Board's recommendation. Councilman Thompson �
seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Thompson , Eidson, Dalton, Harwell & Parker. '

The Planna.ng& Zoning Commission ' s report on Application
Z 71-8 an which Melvin O. Spain requested "C-1" Zoning on
Lot 2, Block 2 in the Lucas Addition was read. Councilman
Dalton made a mo�ion ta grant tha.s zon 'ing change request.
' Councilman parker seconded the motian. Motion prevailed by
the following vote:
Ayes : Councilmen Thampson, Eidson, Dalton, Harwell & Farker.
Noes: None
Resolution R 71-9 was read. Councilznan Eidson made
a mation to pass said resalution. Councilman Harwell seconded

urging its passage by the Iegislature.
Counca,lman Harwell made a motion to hire an architectural
firm to draw up plans for a �wimming paal ta be built on
Dave Road. Counci.lman parker seconded tk�e motion. Motion
prevailed by the following vote:

Councilman Eidson made a motion to negotiate with Mr . Agnew
on damag�� on his ham.e up to full amount le�s depreciation.
