On the 24th day of ,7une, 1971 the City Council of the City of
; Gzapevine, Texas met in a special called meeting. The following

members were present: r'

�� Mayor Pixkle called the mee�ing to order and announced that the
i purpase of the meeting was to eonsider the bids received for the
cons�ruction of a swimma.ng gool to be paid for by the issuance
I of Warrants.
Bids received were as fallows:
' Sikes Construction Co, of Dallas - $103,820.�Q
R. L. Wells Cans�. Ca. o�' Ft. Warth�116,441.00
' James Patterson, representing Intern:ata�onal Building Systems, the
; City' s architects, was present and recommended that t�e bids be
rejected in view of the fac� that the bids were in excess of �tae
amaunt estimated fox the. pxoject. Mr. patterson also recammended
that bids be called for in November of this year . � : �;
Cauncilman Harwell made a matinn that the bids receiveci be re-
jected and that bids be called far agai.n in November 1971 , to
be openecl in December . Motion seconded by Councilman Dal�on.
Motian prevailed by the f01�.4W121� va'tes:
Ayes; Gouncilmen Harwell, Dalton and Thompson.
