Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Councilman Dalton gave the invocation. The minutes of the previous meeting of November 2nd was read and approved. Councilman Eidson made a motion to grant Texas Power & Light Co. a Specific Use Permit to build an electric sub-station re- quested on Zone Change Application Z 71-18, subject to approval ` of plans by the City Council. Councilman Parker seconded the � motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Harwell and Parker. Noes: None Co�cilman Eidson made a motion to pass Ordinance 71-30 on second reading. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidso n, Harwell and Parker. Noes: None ORDINANCE 71-30 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, GRANTING THE RIGHT, PRIVILEGE AND FRANCHISE TO GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF THE SOUTHWEST, GRANTEE, TO CONSTRUCT, EXTEND, EQUIP, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE IN, ALONG, UNDER, OVER AND ACROSS THE PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS, BRIDGES, AND PUBLIC GROUNDS OF THE CITY, SUCH OF ITS POLES, CABLES, CONDUITS, WIRES, ANCHORS, MANHOLES AND OTHER APPLIANCES, STRUCTURES AND FIXTURES AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR CONV•ENIENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF ESTABLISHING, CONDUCTING AND RENDERING TELE- COMMUNICATION SERVICES (AS HEREIN DEFINED) TO THE PUBLIC WITHIN THE CITY, AND FOR CONDUCTING A GENERAL LOCAL AND LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE BUSINESS; AUTHORIZING THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND EQUIP- � MENT FOR THE RENDITION OF METROPOLITAN TELEPHONE SERVICE AND OPTIONAL EXTENDED METROPOLITAN SERVICE; PROVIDING FOR THE FIXING OF RATES, FOR THE ASSIGN- MENT OF THE FRANCHISE, FOR THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN AMOUNTS TO THE CITY FOR SUCH USES AND RIGHTS OF USE, FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR PARTIAL INVALIDITY; AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. � � ; i } ' Councilman Eidson made a motion to employ W. T. Knape as attorney to assist in the boundary dispute between Southlake ' � and Grapevine. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. T•iotion prevailed by the following vote: � Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Harwell and Parker. Noes: None ' � Bill Key, manager of Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine was present ' # and informed the Council that effective December 1, 19?1 Lucas ; ;; Funeral Home would no longer provide ambulance service in Grapevine. �- � Mr. Key introduced Mr. Tom Schneider and Mr. Buddie Hrable of Mid- j Cities Ambulance Service who stated that their company was making application for a license to operate an emergency ambulance service in Grapevine. Councilman Parker made a motion to pass Ordinance 71-34 on first reading. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. Motion prevailed ° by the following vote: �� Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Harwell and Parker. � �� Noes: None ORDINANCE 71-34 i AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE SET OF � RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE KNOWN AS THE CODE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH REGIONAL AIRPORT BOARD, FOR THE PURPOSE � OF ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR WITH- ; � IN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH i REGIONAL AIRPORT AND WHICH WILL BE IN COMMON � � � WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH OTHER CITIES - THROUGHOUT THE BOUNDARY OF THE DALLAS-FORT a WORTH REGIONAL AIRPORT; AND PROVIDING FOR A ' SAVINGS CLAUSE. � � ' Cot.�cilman Harwell made a motion to support the county in further � � study of solid waste disposal problems. Councilman Parker �, � seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: � Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Harwell and Parker. � Noes: None � 3 Councilman Parker made a motion to lease some park land from the � = Presbyterian Church.
