AN ORDINANCE DELETING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 2, SECTION
4 (14) OF THE GRAPEVINE CITY CODE, RELATING TO
SURETY BONDS FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS; PRO-
�'��` VIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
SECTION l. That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 4 (14) of
the Grapevine City Code relating to performance bonds for
electrical contractors is hereby deleted.
SECTION 2. That the terms and provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed severable and that if t he validity
of any section, subsection or paragraph of this ordinance
shall be declared invalid, the same shall not affect the
validity of the balance of this ordinance.
SECTION 3 . The fact that the present electrical or-
dinance and regulations of the City are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace
and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City cre-
�� ates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the
public business, property, health, safety and general
welfare of the public which requires that t his ordinance
shall become effective from and after the date of its
final passage, as provided by the Charter of the City and
it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Grapevine, Texas on this the lOth day of July, 1978.
