On Tuesday night April 18 , 1972 at 8:00 P.M. the City Council of �
the City of Grapevine , Texas met in regular meeting with the
� following members present: �

Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Bill Vandeventer gave �
the invocation. �

� Jay Stockstill presented the council with some books entitled �
"The Law" and "How We Live" . �
' Councilman Dalton made a motion to pass Ordinance 72-15 on second �
reading . Councilman Pittard seconded the motion. The motion �
prevailed by the following vote: �
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Eidson, Pittard and Parker. �
Noes: None �

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
' AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXRS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS €
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF B. R. FLORIES , LOCATED �
IN THE DECKER SURVEY FROM "R-1" SINGLE FAMILY
DWELLING TO "R-3" NNLTI-FAMILY DWELLING, AND €
PROVIDING FOR A SRVINGS CLAUSE. �
Councilman Dalton made a motion to ,pass Ordinance 72-16 on second �
reading . Councilman Parker seconded the motion. The motion
prevailed by the following vote:

ORDINANCE 72-17
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
AND THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS
' OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF ED E. SAMMONS FROM
"R-1" RESIDENTIAL ZONING TO "I-1" LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL ZONING, AND PROVIDING FOR A
SAVINGS CLAUSE.

` ? Mr. Bill Latham discussed his plans for a housing development in
Colleyville, adjacent to the City of Grapevine. He stated he
would be interested in buying water and sewer service f rom the
City of Grapevine.
Mr. Joe Kennedy, Library Board member spoke to the council about
the recommendations and plans regarding the plans for a county wide
library board.
Councilman Eidson made a motion to take bids on the proposed
library building for May 2, 1972. Councilman Pittard seconded
the motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Pittard, Parker and Eidson.
Noes: None
Councilman Eidson made a motion to have the Police Department
make recommendations whether to omit No Parking regulations
along the west side of Austin Street between E. Worth and Franklin
Streets . Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. The motion
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Pittard, Parker and Eidson.

Bill Norwood was present and told of the plans to sponsor a
street dance June lOth for benefit of the Boy Scouts . The plans
called for closing a portion of a street. Councilman Parker
made a motion to grant permission to hold the street dance on
West Worth, Street between Main and Barton. If more room was
needed, then the area could be expanded either North or South
on Bar�ton Street. Councilman Pittard seconded the motion. The
motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Dalton, Pittard, Parker and Eidson.
Noes : None
