AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 4,
SECTION 4, OF THE CITY CODE TO PROHIBIT
PAR�ING IN SPECIFIC DESIGNATED LOCATIONS
ON STATE HIGHWAY 121; PROVIDING A PENALTY;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1, Title 9, Chapter 4, Section 4, of the City
Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
L. Parking shall be prohibited on the Southeast
side of State Highway 121 at the following
location:
From Texas State Highway Department Station
Number 361 + 74,
To Texas State Highway Department Station
Number 366 + 14.
� (General location - From 100' Southwest
of the entrance to Trailwood Mibile
,,,� Home Park, to 100' Northeast of the
Northeast corner of the Mr. "M" Con-
venience Store building. )
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is hereby directed to
cooperate with the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation to cause appropriate signs to be
posted to appraise the public of the "No Parking" zone
and to give them notice thereof.
SECTION 3. Any person violating or failing to comply
with any provisions of this ordinance shall be f ined upon
conviction, not less than ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) nor more than
TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) and each day any violation of
non-compliance continues shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 4. It is hereby declared to be the intention
of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, that
the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases
� of this ordinance are severable and any phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph or section hereof should be declared
unconstitutional, such unconstitutionality or invalidity
'� shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses,
sentences, paragraphs, or sections of this ordinance, since
the same would have been enacted by the City Council with-
out the incorporation in this ordinance of any such uncon-
stitutional invalid phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or
section.
SECTION 5. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in
confliction herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to
protect its citizens within the corporate limits of the
City of Grapevine, creates an emergency for the immediate
'""�" preservation of the public business, property, health,
safety and general welfare of the public which requires
that this ordinance shall become effective from and after
� the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of
the City of Grapevine and it is accordingly so ordained.
