AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 2, SECTION
2, OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CI TY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, REVISING WASTEWATER RATES AND THE EFFECTIVE
DATE TO BE RETRO-ACTIVE TO OCTOBER 20, 1977 ;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, THAT:
SEC'I'ION 1. Title 7, Chapter 2, Section 2, of the City
Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas be amended as follows:
7-2-2 WASTEWATER RATES
There is hereby levied and shall be colleeted monthly
from every customer of the sewage system of the City, a
service charge for the use of such sewerage system, which
charge shall be determined as follows :
Residential Service:
Customer uses water up to:
3,000 gallons monthly $3.10 minimum
4,000 gallons monthly 3.35
5,000 gallons monthly 3. 60

9,000 gallons monthly 4.60

Commercial Service:
Customer uses water up to:

For each one thousand (1,000) gallons in excess of fifteen
thousand (15,000) gallons and up to and including thirty
thousand (30,000) gallons of water per month, there will
be a charge of fifteen cents (15�) per thousand gallons ;
for each one thousand (1,000) gallons of water in excess
of thirty thousand (30,000) gallons of water, there will be
a charge of ten cents (10�) per thousand gallons.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect retro active from October 20, 1977 .
�, SECTION 3. That if any section, subsection, word,
sentence or phrase of this ordinance shall be declared
invalid or unconstitutional such declaration shall not
� affect the validity of any other part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance sha11 be deemed guilty of misdomeanor
and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined $1.00 to $200.00
SECTION 5. It, being for the public welfare that this
ordinance be passed and such amendments be made, there exists
an emergency and public necessity that the rule, requiring
this ordinance to be read on two seperate occasions Be and
the Same is Hereby Waived and this ordinance shall now be
placed on its third and final reading to its passage, and
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval and publication.
