AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1975 EDITION OF THE
SUGGESTED PLUMBING CODE RECOMMENDED BY THE
TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCE-
MENT THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR APPEALS OF ADMINI-
STRATIVE DECISIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ANY PRIOR CONFLICTING
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
� AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
�,,, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted by the City of
Grapevine, Texas for the purpose of prescribing regulations,
governing conditions hazardous to life and property that
certain 1975 edition of the suggested Plumbing Code and
future supplements, to be known as "The Plumbing Code of
The City of Grapevine, Texas" , recommended by the Texas
Municipal League; and it is hereby incorporated herein
as if fully set out in length herein and from the date on
which this ordinance shall take effect, the provisions
thereaf shall be controlling within the limits of the City
of Grapevine with certain exceptions as noted below.
SECTION 2. All references to Bituminized Sewer Pipe,
Bituminous Fiber Pipe and Fittings for General Drainage, and
Bituminous Fiber Pipe Testing , as listed in Chapter 12.1.4
and Chapter 12.1.5 of said Plumbing Code are to be deleted
and are not to be considered applicable to or part of The

Plumbing Code of The City of Grapevine, Texas .
SECTION 3. The enforcement of this Code shall be by the
�, City Manager of the City of Grapevine, through the Building
Inspector of the City, who shall function as the Plumbing
Inspector in enforcing these provisions .
SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 73-0 of the City of Grapevine,
passed and approved on March 6, 1972, i.s hereby repealed.
This ordinance also repeals those provisions, and only those
provisions, of all ordinances in conflict with the provisions
hereof.
�ECTION 5. A per-son, firm or corporation violating the
terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not less than One Dollar
($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) ; and each
day each violation shall continue shall be a separate offense.
SECTION 6. Provisions of this ordinance shall be, and
they are hereby, declared to be severable; and should any
portion of it be declared to be invalid for any reason by a
Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not
affect the remaining portions thereof.
SECTION 7. The fact that the enactment of a Plumbing Code
is necessary to preserve the public business, peace, health,
safety and general welfare , creates an urgency and emergency in
� the immediate preservation of the same, and requires that this
ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage; and it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, this the 5th day of April , 1977.
