ORDINANCE � 75-43
AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN SPECIFIC
PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN RIGHT-OF-WAY OF
STATE HIGHWAY 121 PURSUANT TO AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF COPPELL; AND DECLARING AN

EMERGENCY
� WHEREAS, th�City of Grapevine and the City of Coppell recently
entered into an agreement relating to their respective contiguous boundary lines; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement approved by the City of Grapevine by Ordinance
No. 75-43, on the 28thday of October , 1975; and by the City of Coppell
by Ordinance No. 156 , on the 14thday of October , 1975; called
for both cities to agree on a common boundary line between the two cities; and
WHEREAS, both cities agreed to disannex any territory found to have previously
been annexed, that was found to be on either side of said line; and
WHEREAS, a certain specific portion of State Highway 121 has been found to be
within the Coppell area that had previously been annexed by the City of Grapevine;and
WHEREAS, all of said territory is within the right-of-way of State Highway 121
and no citizens own or inhabit said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIN COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
� Section 1 . That the City of Grapevine pursuant to the above described
� Agreement with the City of Coppell, all of which agreement is incorporated herein
by reference does hereby disannex the following described property:
All of that tract, parcel of land described in Exhibit "A"
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The fact that the present ordinances of the City of Grapevine are
inadequate to protect its citizens creates an emergency for the immediate preservation
of the public business, property, health, safety and general welfare of the public
which requires that this ordinance shall become effective from and after the date of its
passage as provided by the Charter of the City of Grapevine and it is accordingly so
ordained.

Dallas County, Texas.
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the Northwest
�„ R.O.W. line of State Highway 121 as it stands on November
l, 1975, with the Dallas - Denton County Line;
j�, THENCE East along the said Dallas - Denton County Line to
its point of intersection with the Southeast R.�.W, line
of State Highway 121;
THENCE Southwest along the said Southeast R. O. W. line of
State Highway 121 to its point of intersection with the
Tarrant - Dallas County line;
THENCE North along the said Tarrant - Dallas County Line
to its point of intersection with the Northwest R. O. W.
line of the said State Highway 121;
THENCE Northeast along the said Northwest R.O.W. line of
State Highway 121 to the place of beginning.
