HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-09-19 Regular Meeting Reel 15, Side II Start 000, End 222 STATE OF TEXAS � COUNTY OF TARRANT � CITY OF GRAPEVINE � On Tuesday night September 19, 1972 at 8:00 P.M. the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in regular meet- `, ing with the following member s present: Willis Pirkle Mayor Doil Dalton ) Tommy Eidson ) Council Thelma Conine ) Members Phil Parker ) Carlton Pittard ) Bill Tate ) Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Councilman Dalton gave the invocation. i Councilman Pittard made a motion to approve the minutes of the previous meetings . Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. � The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Dalton, Eidson, Conine, Parker, Pittard, Tate & Pirkle. Noes: None Mr. Terry Erwin with Lone Star Gas Company was present and dis- cussed the proposed gas rate increase with the Council. Mr. Erwin stated his company had agreed to a 20% reduction in the - original request. The Council asked Mr. Erwin to bring a letter to that effect before a decision on the rate increase ; was made. Councilman Pittard made a motion to pass Ordinance 72-28 on first reading. Councilman Dalton seconded the motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Pirkle, Dalton, Eidson, Conine, Parker, Pittard & Tate. i Noes: None i ORDINANCE 72-28 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OR GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ' ADOPTING THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1970 EDITION. Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass Ordinance 72-26 on first reading. Councilman Pittard seconded the motion. The ' motion prevailed by the following vote: ' Ayes: Pirkle, Dalton, Eidson, Conine, Parker, Pittard & Tate.
