HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-09-26 Joint Meeting STATE OF TEXAS � COUNTY OF TARRANT � CITY OF GRAPEVINE � On the 26th day of September, 1972 at 7: 30 P.M. , the City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met jointly in the City Hall with the following members present: Willis Pirkle Mayor Thelma Conine ) Phil Patker ) Tommy Eidson ) Council Carlton Pittard ) Members Bill Tate ) Councilman Dalton was absent. � ' Planning & Zoning Commission: Ted Ware Chairman Jerry Jordan Don Stiles Harlen Joyce J. T. Davis , Jr. Joe Kennedy The purpose of the joint meeting was for a public hearing for the consideration of Zone Change Applications Z72-13 and Z72-14. The meeting was called to order and the invocation was given by Ted Ware. Public Hearing was declared open for the consideration of Zone Change Application Z72-14 on which Mel Hobratsch requested "C-2" Community Business District zoning on Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and �, Block 7, Bellaire Addition. Fred Joyce was present in behalf of Mr. Hobratsch andshowed and explained plans for a proposed office building for the said property, to be owned by Tommy Alexander. Mr. W. G. Suliivan of 1110 Valley Vista Drive was present and stated that there are deed restrictions covering the Bellaire Addition until 1977. Fred Joyce stated that he believed �11 Ratcliff had acquired enough signatures in the neighborhood to void the deed restrictions . Persons present were given an opportunity to speak for or against the zone change request . No additional comment was made. Mayor Pirkle informed persons present that the Planning and Zoning Commission will give their recommendation to the City Council for the next meeting of October 3, 1972, and declared public hearing closed on Zone Change Application Z 72-13. � Mayor Pirkle declared public hearing open for the consideration of Zone Change Application 72-14 on which Marvin Hall requested , C-2 Community Business District Zoning on one acre of land in the C. C. Doss Surves] . Marvin Hall was present and stated that he desires to build a commercial building for his business of beauty parlor. Persons present were given an opportunity to speak either for or against the application. No comment was made. Mayor Pirkle informed Mr. Hall that the Planning & Zoning � Commission will l�ave their recommendation to the council for the meeting of October 3, 1972 and declared public hearing closed on Zone Change Application Z 72-14.
