Pittard ) � Bill Tate ) � _ � � The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pirkle and Councilman � ° Dalton gave the invocation. � t = ` Mr. Jess Stockstill , owner and operator of a shooting range in ` Grapevine was present in response to the complaint of Mr. A. C. � � Stone , who lives across the road from the shooting range. Mr. � � Stone had complained that it is dangerous on his property be- � � cause of stray bullets , that his deer are being shot , and that � ° the noise f rom the firing of the guns is detramental to his � $ and Mrs . Stone� s health. Mr. Stone had requested that the ,.� shooting of guns be eliminated. Mr. Stockstill defended the � ;; operation of his shooting range by stating that it is not stray � � bullets from guns on his operation that kill Mr. Stone � s deer; ; that the dirt back-stop was of sufficient height that stray � bullets could not possibly be low enough to be dangerous ; that � - he moved the operation of the skeet range where shot guns are � � used to a point where the point of aim would be away f rom the = `' Stone property; and that he would comply with reasonable re- ' i quests of the City on the control of operation of his shooting � ; range. � � ; Proposed Ordinance 72-39, authorizing a Specific Use Permit for � a concrete batch plant on a tract of land in the Esther Moore � " Survey was read. Councilman Eidson made a motion to pass said � ; Ordinance 72-39 on the emergency basis and to authorized City � ' Manager Ezell to set a reasonable time for Billy Underwood to ; � move his concrete batch plant f rom its present site in the Oak � Grove Addition to the new site covered in said ordinance 72-39. ; � Motion seconded by Councilman Parker. Councilman r Parker made a motion to pass said Ordinance 72-38 on emergency f basis . Motion seconded by Councilman Tate. Councilman Dalton I made a motion to pass said Ordinance 72-36 on second and final � reading . Motion seconded by Councilman Parker. Motion prevailed { by the following vote: � � ! Ayes: Dalton, Tate, Pittard, Parker, Conine, Eidson and Pirkle. Noes: None ""s ORDINANCE 72-36 `� AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY � j OF' GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, TITLE 4, CHAPTER 5, SECTION a 2 BY ADDING THERETO SUBSECTION PROVIDING FOR A � FILING FEE WHEN AN APPLICATION F'OR A TRAILER . COACH OUTSIDE A LICENSED PARK IS SUBMITTED: PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN SPECIFIED INFORMATION BE '� SHOWN ON ALL APPLICATIONS: PROVIDING THAT THE i BUILDING INSPECTOR WILL INVESTIGATE ALL APPLICA- TIONS AND MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE PLANNING j AND ZONING CONIl�IISSION: PROVIDING THAT THE PLANN- j ING AND ZONING COMMISSION WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC ; HEARING AFTER PROPERTY OWNERS WITHIN 200 F'EET � ? Motion prevailed by the following vote: � � � Ayes: Pittard, Dalton, Tate, Parker, Conine and Pirkle. � ' Noes: None i, Abstained: Councilman Eidson i City Attorney John Boyle discussed the proposed Airport Zoning ' � Ordinance with the Council . Mr. Boyle is to do additional research on the ordinance before making recommendations to the City Council . � Proposed Ordinance 72-40 adopting the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional � Airport Code of Rules and Regulations was read. Councilman Tate made a motion to pass said ordinance 72-40 on emergency basis . Motion seconded by Councilman Parker. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Parker, Conine , Tate, Pittard, Eidson, Dalton and Pirkle. Councilman Dalton made a motion to accept the low bid of General Electric in the amount of $3,270.00. Motion � seconded by Councilman Eidson. Noes : None � � 4 Bids received are on file in the City records . � B 4 The offer of Mr. K. W. Pickering to dedicate a part of his property � in his Planned Development project was considered. The Council � : was in agreement to accept the dedication and instructed City � ?
