CITY OF GRAPEVINE �
On S�.turday night April 7, 1973 at .7: 30 P.M. the City Council
of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in a special called meeting
with the following members present:
Willis Pirkle Mayor
� Doil Dalton )
Tommy Eidson ) Council
3 Carlton Pittard ) Members
Bill Tate )
. Thelma Conine )
Councilman Parker was absent.
Mayor Pirkle called the meeting to order. Doil Dalton gave the
invocation. Mayor Pirkle stated this meeting had been called
for the purpose of canvassing the votes and declaring the results
of the city election. The returns were read as:
Fo r Mayo r:
William D. (Bill) Tate - 479
C. R. (Tip) Johnson - 128
For Councilman Place 1:
Doil E. Dalton - 478
Carl R'. Miller - 103 �
For Counciman Place 2:
Tommy Eidson - 396
Richard C. Eakins , - 195 ''
, For Councilman Place 6:
Joe S. Kennedy - 153
Lee Thompson - 231
' Millard J. Dilg - 222
Councilman Pittard made a mot.ion to certify the results and declare �
, the count correct. Councilwoman Conine seconded th� motion. The
motion prevailed by the following vote: �,
Ayes: Dalton, Eidson, Pittard, Tate , Conine and Pirkle.
Noes: None �
Councilman Eidson made a motion to call the runn-off election for
. Councilman Place 6 for May 12, 1973. The run-off to be between '_,
Lee Thompson and Millard J. Dilg . Councilman Dalton seconded
the motion. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Eidson, Pittard, Tate , Conine, Pirkle and Dalton.
Noes: None
