Members present were Mayor Woods and Councilmen Benedict, Dalton artd Foust. Councilmen Pirkle and Huber were absent. Mayor Woods gave the invocation. Minutes of the previous meeti,ng were read and approved. Motiori by.,�onncilmaca Fcaust, �e�onded by Counci. lman Benedict to pass Resolution R67-3, authorizing the City tb recieve app- � lications from local banks to be designated as a depository of City Funds. Motion carried by a yes vote by Cour,cilmen Bene- �. dict, Dalton and Foust. There were no noes. A public hearing was held before the City Council to provide an opportunity .for all lnterested parties to be heard concerning the instituting of ann�ation proceedings covzring all territQry South of the St. Louis and Southwestern Railroad, West of the Tarrant-Dallas County Zine, North of Glade Road and East of Minters Chap�t Road as extended North to said Railroad, except all previously ant�exed land lying wit�in the confines of the above described territory. Re2o�ing Application 67-4 , submitted by J.AJI. Williamson was reviewed. Motion by Councilmarl Daltor�, seconded by Councilman Foust to approve the recommendation of the Planning and Z�ning Board and pass Zot�ing Ordinance 67-7 changing Mr. Williamsonts property fronting on South Main St. from "A't dwelling District � to "F" I.ocal Retail District with a provision that there will be no drive-in type cafes, and "G" Local Retail District. Motion carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Dalton and Foust. Motion by Councilman Bettedict, seconded by Councilman '� Dalton to adopt Ordinar�ce 67-8 , amending the City Code to adopt the 1965 National Electric Code. City Manager Floy Ezell is to get an estimate f rom Freese , 1Vichols, and Er�dress on the cost of updating the City�s Master Plan. Motio� by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Councilman Dalton to approve the plat of subdivision of the land of Tom Waldrop in the John Whitman Survey as recommended by the Planning and Zonit�"g Board. Motion carried by a yes vote by Couticilmen Ber�edict, Da.lton arld Foust. There were no�s. Motion by Councilmar� Foust, seconded by Councilman Benedict to set an Annexation hearing for April 18th, 1967 at 7:30 P.M. con- . cerning the institutir�g of anrlexation proceedings covering all territory South of St. Lewis & Southwestern Railroad, West of Mir�ters Chapel Road as extended North to said Railroad, North of County Road 3036 and East of Farm Road 157, except all pre- viousiy annexed land �lying within the confines of the above de- scribed property.
