Members present were blayor Woods and Councilmen Bene�ict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. City Manager Floy Ezell read a letter from the City of Southlake transmitting a check in the amount of $50.00 as a srnall token of appreciation for radio dispatchiny service extended to their Police Department by the Grapevine Police Departm�nt. 308 b:r. and Mrs. J. �+1. Tanner were present with pictures and informatian needed in connection with securing Council approval to move in a used duplex home on their lot at the corner of Ball and Wall Streets. MOTION by Councilman Pirkle, seconded by Councilman Benedict to approve the request to mave in said house with the pxovision that it be repaired to meet City requirements. r40TION carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber and Foust. There were no noes. A resolution numbered R67-14 calling for the closing of an alley off Ball Street, was read in full, and after due discussion a MOTION by , Counciiman Foust, seconded by Councilman Pirkle ta adopt said resolution R67-14. MOTION carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber ar�d Foust. There were no noes. A copy of said resolution is attached hereto and is a part of these minutes. A recommendation was received from the Planning and Zoning Com�ission on Rezoning Appiication 67-29 on which Jimmy Fi�lloway req�uested "C&D" Multiple Dwelling District Zoning on his 100' x 209' in lot 8 of the Grapevine Survey. MOTION by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Councilman Pirkle to accept the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and reaone Jimmy Hollo�va 's 100'x209' in Lat Y 8 of the Grapevine Survey to "C&D�' Multiple Dwelling District as requested and to pass Ordinance 67-40 enacting the change. r��OTION carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Daltan and Foust. There were na noes. Denver Nance of REA was present and presented a letter from the General Manager of RFA asking for the granting of their proposed Franchise to continue operation of their electric power service within areas annexed or to be annexed by the City. No ' actian was taken pending an opinion from the City Attorney and futher discussion. City hlanager Floy Ezell was authorized to preceed with negotia- tions far acquiring lea=e agreements for sanitary Iand fill operation. Proposed Ordinance 67-41, calling for amending Title 6, Chapter 2, Section 17 of the City Code was introduced and read in full, and after due discussion a MOTION by Councilman Pirkle, seconded by Councilman Foust to adopt Ordinance 67-41. MOTION carried by a yes vote by Councilmen F3enedict, Pixkle, Huber, Ualton and Foust. There were na noes.
