Members present were Mayor Woods and Councilmen Benedict, � Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. � A public hearing was held at this time for the purpose of giving � interested persons an opportunity to be heard in connection with r the proposed annexation of Shorecrest Acres and adjacent territory. � � Representatives from the area were present and after being shown, � on the City Map, the exact territory to be annexed, no indication I of opposition of the proposed annexation was offered. �. Mayor Woods called the Council to order for the regular meeting. � f The minutes of the previous meetings of February 20, 1968 and February 2b, 1968 were read and approved. Proposed Annexation Ordinance 68-5 was introduced to the Council � for consideration and read in full. A MOTION by Councilman Foust, � seconded by Councilman Pirkle, that said Ordinance be finally � passed on one reading, as an emergency measure, to be effective � immediately; and after due discussion said MOTION passed by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Nubez, Dalton and Foust. � � There were no noes. � R f 4 ORDINANCE 68--5 � � � AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY � ADJACENT AND CC�ONTIGUOUS TO Tf-� CITY OF GRAPEVINE, � TEXAS : PROVIDING THAT THE AREA DESCRIBED BELOW, f, SHALL BECOME A Pr1RT OF T1-� SAID CITY AND THAT k T� OWNERS AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOR SHALL BE � t ENTITLED TO ALI. On 68-1 Wiley Dismuke requested "C & D" Multiple Dwelling Zoning on his Lot 17, Block 4, � of Placid Peninsula. On 68-2 Raymond Livingston requested "H" � Central Business Zoning on his lot on the Northwest corner of � College and Church Streets in the Grapevine Survey. After interested �. persons were heard the Planning and Zoning Commission made the Following recommendations to the City Council. � � e 1. The request on Application 68-1 be approved. � 2. The request on Application 68-2 be denied. � MOTION by Councilman Dalton, seconded by Councilman Benedict to � accept the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission €. and approve Wiley Dismuke's request on Application 58-1, to re- � zone his Lot 17, Block 4, Placid Peninsula to "C & U" Multiple � • Dwelling District by the passage of Ordinance 68-1 on first '' reading. MOTION carried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, � Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. There were no noes. � ORDINANCE 68-1 � I � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE � , ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, SO AS TO 4 CHANGE THE ZONING DISTRICTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF y WILEY D7SMUKE.S FROM "A" RESIDENTIAL DWELLING DISTRICT � i; TO "C & D" MULTIPLE DWELLING DISTRICT AND PROVIDING ' FOR A SAVINGS CLAIJSE. � 4 r � �. f V V • MOTION by Councilman Benedict, seconded by Cfl uncilman Pirkle to accept the recommendation of the Planning and 7_oning Commission and deny the request on Application 68-2 on whi'ch Raymond Livingston requested "H" Central Basiness Zoning on his lot on the Northwest corner of the intersection of College and Church Street. ne Qvet7L �f�_ Mr. Wade Cummings was present to^g�# approval of his proposed Mobil Home Park which is located in the City's extra-territorial jurisdic- tion. No action was taken pending advise of the City Attorney. Ordinance 68-3 was read on second and final reading. MOTION by Councilman Dalton seconded by Councilman Foust to pass Ordinance �,, 68-3 on second and final reading. MOTION carried by a yes vate by ' Councilman Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. There were no noes. ORDINANCE 68-3 AN ORDINANCE AI�NDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS SO AS TO PRO- VIDE FOR SPECIFIC RESTRIG'TIONS ON PARKING REGULATIONS. Mr. Harold Waldrop was present to request a permit to move a house in on his I.ot 9, Block 6, Placid Peninsula. Mayor Woods appointed � Covncilmen Dalton and Foust as a committee to investigate the pro- � posed site and area and recommend to the City Manager approval or I disapproval of the application. Requests for street lights to be placed at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Lakeshore Drive and Lakeshore Drive and Oakwood Drive were considered. MOTION by Councilman Foust, seconded by � Councilman Dalton to have Texas Power & Light Company to install � street lights at the two said intersections. MOTION carried by a � yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. I There were no noes. � � The plat of Mr. Rex Carter 's pzopos�d mobile� home park, located in � the City's extra-territorial jurisdiction, was presented to the � Council for review. I - ; The plat of Steward Brothers proposed subdivision was reviewed. iMOTION by Councilman Pirkle, seconded by Councilman Dalton to � approve Mr. Steward's plat subject to approval by the City's consult- I ing engineers. MOTION car.ried by a yes vote by Councilmen Benedict, Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Foust. There were no noes. Discussion was held regarding the operation of the City's new sanitary land-fill operation.
