AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 74-34 BY
ADDING PROVISIONS THAT RESIDENCES USING THE
SEWAGE SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,

I VINE, TEXAS, SHALL BE CHARGED AT THE RATE OF

$3.90 PER MONTH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY'.
V�'HE�EAS, Ordinance No. 74-34 was approved and passed by the
City Council of Grapevine, Texas, on September 17, 1974;
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 74-34 establishes service charges
for the use of sewerage system of the City of Grapevine, Texas, based on
consumption of water supplied by the water system of the City of Grapevine,
Texas;
WHEREAS, certain residences in the City of Grapevine, Texas, are
�.�, not connected to and do not consume water from the water system of the City
of Grapevine, Texas; and
`�°' WHEREAS, the average water consumption per residence connected
to the water system of the City of Grapevine, Texas, is approximately 10, 000
gallons per month;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
S�CTION 1. Ordinance No. 74-34 be, and it is hereby amended
by adding the following provision to section 1 therein:

Sewerage service to a residence not connected to the
water system of the City of Grapevine, Texas, shall
`'�" be at a monthly service charge rate of $3.90.
SECTION 2. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations
of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to control the sewerage system within
the corporate limits of the City of Grapevine, creates an emergency for the
immediate preservation of the public business, property, health, safety, and
general welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance shall become
effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of
''� the City of Grapevine, and it is accordingly so ordained.
