AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE
CITY OF GRA.PEVINE BY AMENDING SECTION 7-3-6
RELATING TO METER CHARGE PER UNIT FOR WATER
SUPPLIED THROUGH ONE METER AND DECLARING

NOLV, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF' GRr'3.PEVINE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Section '7-3-6 of the City Code of the City
of Grapevine is hereby amended to read as follows:
7-3-6 Meter Charge Per Unit:
(A) In all cases where more than one living or business
unit is supplied water through one meter, not less than a minimum
charge for such water shall be made for each living or business
unit supplied through such meter, and all additional water ser-
vice above the minimum for each such unit shall be based upon the

quantity of water passing through the meter and charged for as
�, set forth in the applicable rate schedule in Section 7-3-3.
(B) In all cases when three (3) or more apartments or
trailer park units are serviced through one meter, the mir�imum
per unit shall be four-fifths (4�5) of the regular minimum pre-
scribed for a single service.
SECTION 2. The fact that the present ordinances and regula-
tions of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to control the
water system within the co rporate limits of the City of Grapevine,
creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the public
business� property� health� safety� and general welfare of the
�'"'"" public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective
� from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter
� of the City of Grapevine, and it is accordingly so ordained.
