AN O�DINANCE C�OSI�G, ABANDONING AND
VACATING A PORTION OF AN UNNAMED ALLEY
` IN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS
HEREINA�TER aESCRIBED; AN� DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
� WHEREAS the owners o�
, property abutting a cer�ain
unnamed alley in the City o� Grapevine, Texas , have r�quested
��_::� the right-o�-way and/or easement a� h�reinaf ter described, be
clo�ed, eba�doned and vaca�ed; and
WHEREAS, the right-o�-way andlor ea�ement of eaid alley
as hereina��er described i� no� now needed �or public use and
will no� be needed in the �uture fgr a public use; and
WHEREAS, the cla�ing, abandoning end vacating the
rig�t-o�-way a�d/or ea�ement o� said a21ey will relieve t�e
City of Grapevine , Texas, �rom the cost and expen�e o� main-
taining said proper�y;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF �RAPEVINE, TEXAS:

SECTION 2. That ti�e Mayor lae, and is herekay authorized
to execute a Quit-Claim Cleed to convey tl-ie hereinafter de�cribed
property to Don Gerschick , the reputed owner of the prop�:rty
abu-�ting saicl righ-�-of-way and/c�r easemen�.

ordinance shall be deemed to b� severable and that iF the
velidity of any section, sr..�bsection, word, sentence or phrase
shali be h�ld to be invalid, i� shali not affect �1-�e remainit-7g

�ECTION 4. The Fac� that said right-oF-way and/or
easemen� is no longer needed by the public for public usa�e
or �rav�ling and would cre�te � hardship or burden upon �he
City of �rapevine, Tex�s, to keep open and maintain such all�y,
creates an �rgency and an emergency for the immediate pre�ervatian
of the public health, sa�ety and general welf are which
requires that this ordinance shall take ef�ect immediately
from and a�ter its passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVE D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , this the 18th day of December , 1973.
