On the 24th day of May, 1968 at 8:00 P.M. the City Council of
the City of Grapevine, Texas corivened in a call meeting at the
City Hall with the following members present:
Iza E. Woods Mayor
Willis Pirkle )
Herbert Huber ) •
Doil Dalton ) Councilmen
Lee Thompson )
Floy Ezell City Manager
Jia Hancock City Secretary
Councilman Benedict was absent.
The following business was transacted:
The letter of resignation of City Manager Floy Ezell was dis-
cussed. Councilaan Pirkle made a MOTION to regzetfully accept
Mr. Ezell 's zesignation effective 6-1-�j,8 with the desire of
being able to work out any difficulties which �aay have inspired ��
the resignation. � MOTION prevailed by the follo�ing vote:

Ayes: Councilmen Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thoapson.
Noes: None
Councilman Pirkle aade a MOTION to appoint Jim Hancock as Act-
ing City Manayer eff�ctive June 1, 1968 at the teaporary rate
of pay of $850.00, per month until a permanent City Manager is
named. MOTION seconded by Councilman Dalton. MOTION prevailed
by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilnen Pirkle, Huber, Dalton and Thompson.
Noes : None
Meeting adjourned.
